2 years ago today I got the phone call that changed my life forever. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Remember that car ride Melissa Missy Palmer-Di Dio?? Last time I go to lunch with you! LOL As I process the news of Coleens passing, and want to completely lash out at the unfairness of this disease, I also am reminded that there are so many blessings to celebrate in this life. More important than my cancerversary is my upcoming 17th wedding anniversary to Lane Wilson, who has held my heart since I was only 19! I cherish every single day the beautiful family that I have been given. Kathryn Wilson, Alyssa Jane, Andy Harrison... you are the reasons that I breathe. My amazing family and friends, I want you to know that I do not take ANY of you for granted. There are too many of you to list here, but I pray that I have been able to show you all in some way, exactly what you mean to me. To my cancer buddies, Susan J. Davis, Joan Barnett Lee, Laura Bava, Lori Grothaus Boyarsky, Glenda Wolfe Herrera, Linda Shelton-Boyer, Alicia Valadez, Laura Granger, Imran Poladi... I know that you, more than anyone, know exactly how Im feeling today! You each have made an impact on my life and I appreciate you! So Lord, Thank YOU most importantly, for giving me this life and teaching me that it is worth cherishing. We dont know what lies ahead of us on this daily journey, but we know that you go before us, always.
