2 years ago today I lost you Paul Bovey I remember the day like yesterday the police coming to my door asking me to sit down, then said you had been killed in a car crash, I hit the policeman with my tea towel, I now think good job I did not have a frying pan in my hand, I remember getting up from the table walking across the kitchen then falling to my knees it felt like a truck had just hit me I could not breath ,think, talk, The policeman helped me up and I was so sure it could not be you, I had to wait for Keith and Matt to come home, just to hear it said again to them, I was in a bubble the one I am still in, then I was took to the hospital to identify you, the walk to the morg was just like climbing a mountain, once there I was took into a room and there on the bed I saw you, wet and cold, I scooped you up in my arms begging you to wake and tell them it was a joke, I had to leave you there I just wanted to lie with you forever, I went straight to your house and climbed into your bed, hugging your pillow the one I have slept on since you have gone, I cannot believe I have gone through all of this because the driver had been drinking and speeding so please listen to my story and please dont drink / speed the car was not even insured all these thing gives people like me a life sentence of heart ache and pain AND dont think it could not happen to you IT CAN, one out of every three young people die on our roads, dont let it be you , I miss you with every fibre of my body son forever mother bear xxx
