20,000 people die due to staph infection in US hospitals each - TopicsExpress

20,000 people die due to staph infection in US hospitals each year. Why? US population has built up a resistance to Antibiotics. Bacteria that we all have in our bodies and also in animals we eat has built up a resistance to antibiotics. These same bacteria can be spread just like a flu affecting everyone you meet. In the U.S. we get a double dose from our food supply. In the US industrial farms provide animals 70% of antibiotics that we consume. Learning point from this is if you get the flu DON’T ask for or request antibiotics. Antibiotics have NO effect on the common flu. Despite what you seen on TV. Get plenty of rest, drink fluids and in 2-3 days you should get better.
