20 days ago, around 30 people started a silent demonstration for protesting the government to demolish a city park and construct a shopping mall instead. Police used excessive force on these people and the day after, around 300 people started another silent demonstration in the park. Police attacked these people also brutally and at the same day hundreds of thousands of people walked to the park to protest the violence of police. There has been a big clash between the citizens and police forces for the whole night and the next day police forces left the area to the demonstrators. For 2 weeks, protesters stayed in the park by turning it into a village with painting atelier for kids, concerts, planting flowers etc. and asked to the government to cancel the construction project of the shopping mall. That demand was not accepted by the government and yesterday police forces attacked the park brutally one more time with hear gas bombs, water cannons with acidic chemicals in it. They have shoot tear gas bombs even into hotels where people took as a shelter, into the hospitals, into the temporary infirmaries. All volunteered doctors and medical staff were arrested and taken into custody. Currently police forces is attacking all citizens all around the city with excessive brutal force. Minister for EU affairs declared that, all people who are supporting these demonstrations and are going to streets will be treated as terrorists and acted accordingly. Currently whole public is in a big panic, anger and fear as the government and police forces are willingly attacking their own citizens.
