20 things you dont know about me: 1) I was born in Ethiopia. 2) Went to Kindergarten in Nigeria. 3) Grades 1-4 were in the Philippines. 4) In high school, my goals were to join the Air Force, be a jet fighter pilot, and go into Aeronautical Engineering. 5) I was Spelling Bee champ in 6th grade. 6) Ive been all over the world: Ive climbed the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Climbed the Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center and Empire State Bldg. in New York. Been to the floating market in Bangkok, Thailand. Been to Madrid, Spain. Rome, Italy. Frankfurt, Germany. Amsterdam, Switzerland, India. Tokyo, Japan. May be leaving some out. I was just a kid :( 7) I left the medical field once to go be a DJ. 8) I used to write music as a teenager. 9) I joined Miss Dinagyang in 2000, attended a couple preliminaries, but then backed out when i didnt get support from my family. 10) I have always wanted to start my own charity to help the children and families of Ethiopia. 11) Even when i was a kid in the Philippines, i wanted to grow up to be a choreographer. Always wanted to be a back-up dancer. 12) I have been in a car club for fourteen years. 13) Id like to own a flower & gift shop one day. And also a dance studio. 14) I was a manager of the varsity football team in high school. 15) I dont like hugs. Please dont touch me. 16) Took my first caricature workshop at ten. Took drafting in junior high and high school. Drawing also in high school. Architecture in college. Signed up for Animation last year. My homework in Calculus class always had doodles, as i love to sketch. 17) Ive always wanted to live in Manhattan. 18) The night i was born, there was a war going on. The soldiers stopped my parents on the way to the hospital at midnight. At 4:12 AM, i was born. At 6AM, i was on the way home and the same soldiers stopped us. They let my family go after they saw me. (My mom didnt want to stay at the hospital because the doctors and nurses were on strike). 19) I have always wanted to be a writer, especially of childrens books, even though i hate to read. 20) I used to speak Hindi and Nigerian, but forgot both as i got older. I was dared to do this by Brenda Pineda-Twohie. Hope you like it! :)
