20 years ago I had the honor to serve in my faith by going on a full-time volunteer mission in Alberta. Like all other LDS missionaries, we get to go for 18-24 months. We stop school, work, even dating and for 2 years, and we pay for the entire 2 years ourselves with savings from jobs as a teenager and sometimes the help of others. We go just to learn how to love and serve other people and strive to lift them to higher ground by tapping into spirituality. The perspective those 2 years gave me as a young man completely shaped who I am and who I am striving to still be. I write this because for the first time, I get to go back to Alberta to see the people and province I grew to love like my own family. Our company just launched in Canada and I get to go tour Alberta and BC in a few weeks. Excited for amazing-chance-of-a-lifetime work Opportunties, but more excited to just be home for a few days. I LOVE YOU, CANADA!!!!
