2011 presidential elections Discarding the PDP zoning formula and denying the North the opportunity to complete late Yaraduas tenure was unfair and wrong. It was an injustice some of us complained about and even condemned. An act that any normal person would know will lead to a fight back from those that have been disadvantaged. Unfortunately, the fight back that I am seeing - killing innocent people cannot be justified at all. 2015 presidential elections Even with the killings and destruction here and there what seems to be paramount in our political space is winning the 2015 presidential election at all cost even as innocent Nigerians are blown away by bombs, shot to death or beheaded for crimes they never committed? Yet, we keep hearing that the FG will expose or list the names of Boko Haram sponsors? In the meantime, women and young girls are now the ones dispatching people to the other side. What is the essence of political power if you cannot protect and defend the defenseless, weak and vulnerable in the society? Whole villages are being sacked and human beings being murdered in cold blood like animals and our politicians from the North, South, East and West are focusing on 2015 presidential elections? There must be something that turns politicians in to insensitive people as you get to see certain leaders do or refuse to do things you would never have attributed to them. How much money and power do you desperately need that will make you see the killing of innocent people as ok or acceptable casualty?
