2013-2014 Pre-K-12 Registration Information ABINGDON-AVON-Online registration for Abingdon-Avon students begins Monday, Aug. 5. Use Skyward Quick Link on the District Web-D276.NET. Fees can be paid online via credit/debit card. Any questions call the high school, 462-2338, middle school, 465-3621, Hedding, 462-2363 or Avon Elementary, 465-3851. All students new to the District should register Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the building the student will attend. The Night Before Kindergarten will be held Sunday, Aug. 18, 4 to 5 p.m. at Hedding and Avon Elementary. The first day of school will be Monday, Aug. 19 with a 2:05 p.m. dismissal. School will dismiss at 2:05 p.m. from Aug. 19 to Aug. 30. A list of requirements for students includes: Physical Examination- Pre-K-Must include lead screening and diabetes screening by a medical doctor Kindergarten-Must include diabetes screening and lead screening if not already done Sixth-Must include diabetes screening Ninth-Must include diabetes screening Immunizations- Pre-K-All required shots by the age entering school including (varicella) Chicken Pox Kindergarten-All required shots by the age entering school including (varicella) Chicken Pox Fifth-Hepatitis B (series of three shots) Sixth-All required shots not completed earlier Ninth-All required shots not completed earlier Dental Examination Kindergarten-Exam by a licensed dentist Second Grade-Exam by a licensed dentist Sixth-Exam by a licensed dentist Vision Examination- Kindergarten-Eye Exam done as part of the physical exam by the medical doctor or by an optometrist Immunizations/exams should be completed and on file before the first day of school or proof of appointment registered with school nurse. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2013 in order to enroll. All Kindergarten students who did not attend registration in March and newly enrolled students must bring a certified birth certificate and social security number to registration.
