2013 AFL Mackay Juniors Finals Series Player Eligibility for Finals Conditions of player eligibility for all finals Under 13, Under 15, Under 18: • A player must have played five (5) games in their selected team to be eligible to play in a finals series match. • Players “playing up” must have played 5 games at that level to qualify (except Under 11’s playing up for Under 13’s). Team Numbers • Teams are not required to lend players for finals. • Maximum of 24 players per team are permitted to play finals (maximum of 24 players listed on the team sheet). • Minimum team numbers remain the same for finals as in ordinary games however since no loaning is available, if one side has the minimum (12, 13 or 14) and the other maximum (24), the team with greater numbers will be required to rotate those players through the interchange bench with each team having the minimum number on the field. Team with minimum numbers, starts the game with two on the interchange bench (unless the team has equal to the minimum numbers or one more player than the minimum numbers for each age group). • 20 or more players on BOTH Team Sheets = 18 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 20, this would be 18 a side) • 19 or more on BOTH Team Sheets = 17 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 19 this match will be 17 a side) • 18 or more on BOTH Team Sheets = 16 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 18 this match will be 16 a side) • 17 or more on BOTH Team Sheets = 15 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 17 this match will be 15 a side) Minimum numbers of 14 (under 18), 13 (under 15), 12 (under 13) players on EITHER Team Sheet (see below): Under 18’s, Under 15’s & Under 13’s 14 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 16, 15 or 14 (minimum) this match will be 14 a side) Under 15’s & Under 13’s 13 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 15, 14 or 13 (minimum) this match will be 13 a side) Under 13’s 12 a side + interchange (e.g. Team A = 24 and Team B = 14, 13 or 12 (minimum) this match will be 12 a side) • If a match starts with 18 a side or 17, 16, 15, 14 (under 18’s), 13 (under 15’s), 12 (under 13’s) a side and an injury occurs or any send offs, the match remains at the number of players that match started with. • Please advise by 7.30pm on Thursday evening if your team is likely to be playing with less than 14 in the under 13’s. The ground will need to be marked and set out as a ¾ size field. • Coaches cannot over rule on match day.
