2013 BENTON NEIGHBOR DAYS CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2013 — 7:00PM Benton Ballpark Registration Friday night and Saturday until 5pm ENTRY FEE—$20 per team $200 to winning team $100 to runner-up team (payout based on 32-team tournament, double payout for 64-team tournament) Policies/Guidelines 1. All participants/teams must be properly registered and agree to the Rules of the Game to participate. No exceptions. 2. All participants may play on 1(one) team only. Rosters are frozen once the tournament has begun. 3. Each team shall consist of 2(two) players. 4. Layout of court and position of boards shall be at the discretion of the management, and accepted as such, by the participants. 5. Number of accepted teams may be limited. Management reserves the right to reject any entry/application. Rules of the Game 1. Two contestants are partners against another team of two contestants. 2. One member of each team pitches from a cornhole platform and the other members pitch from the other cornhole platform. Positioning of players shall be decided PRIOR to the game. A coin toss will be used to determine who pitches first. 3. Each player’s partner is to be directly across from them in the opposite box at the other board so that each team has one player throwing from the left pitcher’s box and one throwing from the right. Each player is assigned a pitcher’s box and will be required to pitch from their box the entire game. 4. Each side will alternate throws. Point cancellation system as explained day of tournament will be used. 5. The opposing team member must immediately throw their bags before the sides switch. 6. The game ends when one team reaches or exceeds 21 points after a complete round of innings. 7. Highest scoring team from previous inning pitches first in next inning. 8. Tournament is single-elimination. Losing team is eliminated from competition. Winning team advances in bracket formation.
