2013 Camino Memory Day 4 Lourdes France & Argelos Gazost I - TopicsExpress

2013 Camino Memory Day 4 Lourdes France & Argelos Gazost I arrived in Lourdes France last night and stayed in a little inn called Hotel Delphine. Lourdes is a small village in southern France at the base of the Pyrenees mountains. It is known for St. Bernadettes vision of the Virgin Mary in the 19th century. People come all over to visit the shrine and Basilica and to visit the grotto where the vision happened. I had been in Europe all of three days and in my short time there I had never have been around so many people who are lost. Im taking real lost. Like no where on the map near the real Jesus Christ. Here in America especially in the south you can find a believers just around every corner, but over seas in the continent of Europe -- Christianity is more about church and culture rather than an actual personal relationship with Christ. Going a step further to many of the culture Jesus Christ is a myth just like the Roman or Greek gods. For the first time, in my life I realized and experienced the lostness of mankind like no other. It broke my heart. I can only imagine how it breaks God. The culture and the people of Europe are lovely. In fact, I would love to live there. However, I realized that so many over there do not know the truth and guess and they dont even care. That is truly lost. Reflection: 1. 1. The world needs like never before Christ followers to Truly be a loving, living, relevant Witness for Jesus. Our daily prayer needs to be To look for God opportunities to build redemptive relationships And share Christ in Word and deed to all. The lost are waiting for you and me .
