2013 Fall Convocation Kicks Off Fall Convocation 2013 Benedict College’s Kick-Offs Academic Year What: Fall Convocation 2013 – Official College Opening Ceremony When: Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Where: The Benjamin E. Mays Human Resources Center (Gymnasium) on the campus of Benedict College Columbia, SC---September 3, 2013---Benedict College will formally welcome the Class of 2017 and other new students to the College community at its annual Fall Convocation. The Fall Convocation will be held in the Benjamin E. Mays Human Resources Center at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013. The keynote address will be given by Dr. David H. Swinton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Benedict College. The convocation will give Dr. Swinton an opportunity to set the tone for the institutional vision and academic goals for the ensuing year. The Fall Convocation is also a great community-building event for Benedict College which brings together students, faculty and staff. It is an official welcome to our new students and kickoff for the academic school year. All campus offices will be closed during the convocation. The public is invited to attend.
