This year’s Annual Dinner will take place on Wednesday 20 November 2013 at the St. Pierre Park Hotel and the evening comprises a Champagne Reception, sponsored by Price Bailey Chartered Accountants and a 3 course dinner sponsored by Montagu Evans (CI) Ltd. Both companies are continuing their successful relationship with the event having been the sponsors in 2012. The Guest Speaker will be Sir Peter Bazalgette who, it has been argued by The Independent newspaper,is “the most influential man in British television” as a result of his impact on the development of reality television and lifestyle programmes such as Ready Steady Cook, Changing Rooms, Deal or No Deal and Big Brother. Sir Peter is a non-executive director of YouGov, MirriAd, ITV and Nutopia and he services on BBH’s Advisory Board. The2013 benefitting charity, for this year’s Annual Dinner, is The Samaritans who are celebrating their 50th anniversary in the Bailiwick. “We are delighted that Sir Peter Bazalgette has agreed to be this year’s Guest Speaker. The Annual Dinner always proves to be a highly popular event where members can network and listen to an engaging, informative and highly entertaining speaker. I know that Sir Peter will not disappoint.” said Rupert Dorey, President of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce. “I am also particularly proud that this annual event is supporting The Samaritans who do so much to assist those who feel that they are besieged by worries and problems. The Samaritans’ work is vital to our community’s existence and too often goes on below the radar. The more support Chamber and its members can give The Samaritans, the better.” Tickets are priced at £70 each or £840 for a table of 12.
