2013 Hero of the Year: Volunteer Auxiliary Community Service Officer Kyle A. F. Coryn. After an Internal investigation concludes Ofc. Kyle acted above and beyond the call of duty and saved a 3 year old from being struck by oncoming traffic on the curb of the right lane East bound 62nd Ave N 16th ST N on Sept 22, 2013.... 20 yr old Kyle whom disregarded his own safety sprung towards the impulsive young child and snatched him up. In our presence and all officers present after the rescue he suffered severe anxiety/panic attack and shortness of breath falling to his knees and was assisted by fellow colleagues Officers Luis Ortiz, Tyler Edwards, Eric Winnier and Jake Hall. Immediate after the Incident Sgt. Harry H. Interviewed the 25 yr old mom said she had too many kids to supervise therefore lost track of her son......This concludes my report.
