The company was originally a plumbing company. Albert’s son Tony began working in the family business in 1976. Ten years later, Tony took the helm and moved the company into general construction work. The company has been in business for 57 years and has 17 full time employees. The company, throughout its 57 years, has created opportunities not only for themselves, but for numerous small, minority and /or women owned businesses. Davila Construction has played a key role in both County and City mentor protégé programs that help small businesses partner with experienced companies. Tony has also mentored numerous companies and helped with bonding and financial support. Tony’s is also very active in his community, is a Board member for RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) and is an active member of the Hispanic Contractor’s Association, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Eastside Workforce Empowerment, and the Hot Wells Conservancy.
