Kesterson has a quick arm and the ability to put either cut or sink on his fastball, which sat 87-90/91. Wake Forest commit Anthony Romanelli (2014; Beacon, NY) was tagged for 3 earned runs in 5.0 innings; Romanelli did, however, record 6 strikeouts.
