2013 Youth Camp for Asia’s Future Object To enhance mutual cooperation and understanding through exchange and training in Korea Outline of project - Name of project: 2013 Youth Camp for Asia’s Future - Slogan: Asian Youth! Be a New Cultural Icon - Number of participants: 209 persons from 24 countries - Period: Aug 12~26, 2013 (14 nights 15 days) - Venue: Seoul, Gyeongju,Ulsan, jeju Island - Official Language: English Main programs - Welcome ceremony (hosted by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family), Farewell ceremony (hosted by the President of NCYOK) - Training (Korean class, Korean Tourism, Korean industrial science & technology, Korean cultural & social experience), Asia Traditional Performance Festival, Asia traditional cuisine festival, Asia landmark photo contest, Asian Youth exchange night, etc, Teamwork activities (sports), etc. Expenses bearing rules - Round-trip flight ticket at their own expense - Accommodation, meal, transportation and programs etc. in Korea will be paid by the host country. * Participants should pay for passport & visa issuance fee, airport fee, transportation in their own country at their own expense Qualifications - Youth aged between 18~24 years old (born between 1995~1989) - Must have an ability to communicate in English - A youth who is interested in international relations or Korea - Priority will be given to youths with following - No previous visit experience to Korea - Award-winners (contest related to Korea) - Having studied Korean (Korean Studies) or in a related field - A letter of recommendation from the principal, professor or head of one’s company - An ability to perform on stage such as traditional dance Selection of participants - Recommend 10 Persons from the Korean embassy * NCYOK will select 7 persons through telephone interview Documents to submit - Application form (Attach the Photo) - A copy of passport (Scanned one) - Submission method: compress the file and send it via e-mail - Email: [email protected] - Due date: 6:00pm, June 21 (Friday), 2013 phil.korean-culture.org/navigator.do?siteCode=phil&langCode=phil&menuCode=201002010014&action=VIEW&seq=48799
