2013年11月6日 朝の礼拝 Morning service +.――゜+.――゜+.――゜+.――゜ ◆第一日課 The first lesson ネヘミヤ記 Nehemiah 13:4-22 これに先立って、トビヤに縁のある祭司エルヤシブは、神殿の祭司室を任されていたが、かつて人々が穀物の献げ物と香と祭具、またレビ人と詠唱者と門衛のための、規定による十分の一の穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油、更に祭司のための礼物を納めることになっていたその大きな祭司室をトビヤのために流用した。その時わたしはエルサレムにいなかった。バビロンの王アルタクセルクセスの第三十二年にわたしは王のもとに行っていたからである。やがて王の許しを得て、エルサレムに帰り、エルヤシブがトビヤのために神殿の庭にある収納庫を流用して、そのために行った悪事を知った。わたしは非常に憤り、その祭司室からトビヤ家の器具類をすべて外に投げ出し、その祭司室を清め、そこに再び神殿の祭具と穀物の献げ物と香を納めることを命じた。またわたしは、レビ人に与えられるはずのものが与えられず、務めに就いていたレビ人と詠唱者が、それぞれ自分の耕地に逃げ帰っているのを知った。わたしは役人を責め、なぜ神殿を見捨てられたままにしておくのかと言った。わたしはレビ人と詠唱者を集め、務めに就かせた。こうしてユダの人々が皆、十分の一の穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油を貯蔵室に持って来た。わたしは、祭司シェレムヤ、書記官ツァドク、レビ人ペダヤに貯蔵室の管理を命じ、マタンヤの孫でザクルの子、ハナンを彼らの助手とした。彼らは忠実な人物とされており、仲間に分配する任務が彼らにゆだねられた。わたしの神よ、それゆえわたしを心に留め、神殿とその務めのために示した、わたしの真心を消し去らないでください。またそのころ、ユダで、人々が安息日に酒ぶねでぶどうを踏み、穀物の束をろばに負わせて運んでいるのを、わたしは見た。また、ぶどう酒、ぶどうの実、いちじく、その他あらゆる種類の荷物も同じようにして、安息日にエルサレムに運び入れていた。そこで、彼らが食品を売っているその日に、わたしは彼らを戒めた。ティルス人もそこに住み着き、魚をはじめあらゆる種類の商品を持ち込み、安息日に、しかもエルサレムで、ユダの人々に売っていた。わたしはユダの貴族を責め、こう言った。「なんという悪事を働いているのか。安息日を汚しているではないか。あなたたちの先祖がそのようにしたからこそ、神はわたしたちとこの都の上に、あれほどの不幸をもたらされたのではなかったか。あなたたちは安息日を汚すことによって、またしてもイスラエルに対する神の怒りを招こうとしている。」そこで、安息日の始まる前に、エルサレムの城門の辺りが暗くなってくると、わたしはその扉を閉じるように命じ、安息日が過ぎるまでそれを開けないように言いつけた。そしてわたしの部下をその門の前に立たせ、安息日には荷物が決して運び込まれないようにした。そのため、取り引きする人やあらゆるものを売る人が、エルサレムの外で夜を過ごすことも一度ならずあった。わたしは彼らを戒めて、「なぜ城壁の前で夜を過ごすのか。繰り返すならば、お前たちを処罰する」と言った。そのとき以来、彼らは安息日には来なくなった。またわたしはレビ人に、身を清めて門を守り、安息日を聖とするように命じた。わたしの神よ、このことについてもわたしを心に留め、あなたの大いなる慈しみによって、わたしを憐れんでください。 Before this, Eliashib the priest had been put in charge of the storerooms of the house of our God. He was closely associated with Tobiah, and he had provided him with a large room formerly used to store the grain offerings and incense and temple articles, and also the tithes of grain, new wine and olive oil prescribed for the Levites, musicians and gatekeepers, as well as the contributions for the priests. But while all this was going on, I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had returned to the king. Some time later I asked his permission and came back to Jerusalem. Here I learned about the evil thing Eliashib had done in providing Tobiah a room in the courts of the house of God. I was greatly displeased and threw all Tobiah’s household goods out of the room. I gave orders to purify the rooms, and then I put back into them the equipment of the house of God, with the grain offerings and the incense. I also learned that the portions assigned to the Levites had not been given to them, and that all the Levites and musicians responsible for the service had gone back to their own fields. So I rebuked the officials and asked them, ‘Why is the house of God neglected?’ Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts. All Judah brought the tithes of grain, new wine and olive oil into the storerooms. I put Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and a Levite named Pedaiah in charge of the storerooms and made Hanan son of Zakkur, the son of Mattaniah, their assistant, because they were considered trustworthy. They were made responsible for distributing the supplies to their fellow Levites. Remember me for this, my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services. In those days I saw people in Judah treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in grain and loading it on donkeys, together with wine, grapes, figs and all other kinds of loads. And they were bringing all this into Jerusalem on the Sabbath. Therefore I warned them against selling food on that day. People from Tyre who lived in Jerusalem were bringing in fish and all kinds of merchandise and selling them in Jerusalem on the Sabbath to the people of Judah. I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them, ‘What is this wicked thing you are doing – desecrating the Sabbath day? Didn’t your ancestors do the same things, so that our God brought all this calamity on us and on this city? Now you are stirring up more wrath against Israel by desecrating the Sabbath.’ When evening shadows fell on the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I ordered the doors to be shut and not opened until the Sabbath was over. I stationed some of my own men at the gates so that no load could be brought in on the Sabbath day. Once or twice the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods spent the night outside Jerusalem. But I warned them and said, ‘Why do you spend the night by the wall? If you do this again, I will arrest you.’ From that time on they no longer came on the Sabbath. Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and go and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this also, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love. ◆第二日課 The second lesson ヨハネの黙示録 John 12:1-12 ・ベタニアで香油を注がれる 過越祭の六日前に、イエスはベタニアに行かれた。そこには、イエスが死者の中からよみがえらせたラザロがいた。イエスのためにそこで夕食が用意され、マルタは給仕をしていた。ラザロは、イエスと共に食事の席に着いた人々の中にいた。そのとき、マリアが純粋で非常に高価なナルドの香油を一リトラ持って来て、イエスの足に塗り、自分の髪でその足をぬぐった。家は香油の香りでいっぱいになった。弟子の一人で、後にイエスを裏切るイスカリオテのユダが言った。「なぜ、この香油を三百デナリオンで売って、貧しい人々に施さなかったのか。」彼がこう言ったのは、貧しい人々のことを心にかけていたからではない。彼は盗人であって、金入れを預かっていながら、その中身をごまかしていたからである。イエスは言われた。「この人のするままにさせておきなさい。わたしの葬りの日のために、それを取って置いたのだから。貧しい人々はいつもあなたがたと一緒にいるが、わたしはいつも一緒にいるわけではない。」 ・ラザロに対する陰謀 イエスがそこにおられるのを知って、ユダヤ人の大群衆がやって来た。それはイエスだけが目当てではなく、イエスが死者の中からよみがえらせたラザロを見るためでもあった。祭司長たちはラザロをも殺そうと謀った。多くのユダヤ人がラザロのことで離れて行って、イエスを信じるようになったからである。 ・エルサレムに迎えられる その翌日、祭りに来ていた大勢の群衆は、イエスがエルサレムに来られると聞き、 Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honour. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. Then Mary took about half a litre of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, ‘Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages. ’ He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it. ‘Leave her alone,’ Jesus replied. ‘It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.’ Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.
