2014 BTRDA Morris Lubricants Class 1.4C Champion - will take a while for that to sink in. To begin the year aiming for a top 3 finish in class, I can safely say we have exceeded all expectations this year. Calculations show that theoretically we can with the BTRDA Forest Rally Championships 1400 section outright if the results go that way on the Cambrian Rally 2014, now that is what you call a dream! To be lying 4th overall at this stage in the year is amazing let alone even having the opportunity to improve on that. I can t thank the support and dedication from the family and friends around me who make the dream turn into reality, without them all this would literally be a dream. Of course its not easy, the blood, sweat and tears (and the battle with overdraft limits!) always pose a problem, but the feeling when crossing that finish line was all worth it! The year isnt over however, I am leading a number of championships in the ANWCC which goes down tho the wire, game on! I have to thank all those who have helped in the year so far, without naming specifics, anyone who has offered advice, guidance, sent over some abuse, helped financially, offered discounts or generally supported a Ginger going rallying in a Micra! Also, thanks to Sasha for the note calling, Claire for not only putting up with me outside of rallying, but also to sit in the car and do a sterling job whenever asked. The family( Helen and Jonathan) for forever traipsing round, dealing with my stress at home and always supporting and finally to the old man (Tony) for not only towing the car, but always there keeping us going on events, helping in the garage whenever a pair of hands is needed.. oh and use of Bank of Dad when things start getting tough. It is much appreciated. To summarise, we have achieved so far what we thought was unachievable with the potential of more success to come... oh and all in a 1 Litre ;) . Essay over. Bedtime.
