2014 Burlesque Classes with The Rouge Revue SALTRIVER BURLESQUE CLASSES Burlesque is for all women, regardless of age, race, weight or fitness levels, it is about learning to love our bodies and acknowledging the beauty of the feminine spirit. We aim to embrace and accept our bodies in all their assorted variations and challenge the media’s stereotypical image of beauty by demonstrating the unique beauty of each dancer. You will find that burlesque dancing brings renewed self confidence, increased fitness and a feeling of well being as well as being a wonderful place to meet new friends and have fun. What should you wear? Please dress up for class if you are confident enough. Wear a short skirt, stockings, heels and a tight top or corset. Classes start on the 22nd Jan 2014 (fees for Jan R160 – half month) SALTRIVER BROLESQUE CLASSES Using the traditional principles of burlesque, BRO-lesque explores the edgy, cross dressing side of this already risque style. Performers draw from their own experiences to create cool gender-bending alter-egos which they then use in group and solo performances. Wherever you fall on the butch/femme scale, BRO-lesque will help you tap into your inner gender bender.
