2014 ELECTION 17 DAYS 16 HOURS 33 MINUTES AWAY: I speak about elections because in my eyes they are important, and a lot of folks who came before me thought so also. This election is typically important: All across the country we have shootings, and we have laws that are protecting people most of us feel are guilty; this election has state judges on the ballot, so our vote can get someone in office that can change laws; across the country we see our voting rights being tampered with especially in Ohio, the Secretary of State position is on the line (Nina Turner the only candidate I wholeheartedly believe in); we also see our schools converting to more test taking, and our public schools receiving less dollars, we have a State School Board position on the line, and those individuals will be able to help the entire state determine what is best for our kids; rather we know it or not, right to work is also on the line as well. The word right to work is confusing. It may not be important to you that teachers, firefighters, factory workers, government workers have the ability to organize, but imagine 10 years from now if we have right to work. The only way people make a decent salary is by being at a top position. If a owner can pay less they will, unions create standards. If there is no collective bargaining, owners call all the shots. These are just a few reasons, I personally think it is important to vote this year. TELL SOMEONE ELSE THIS ELECTION IS IMPORTANT, MAKE IT IMPORTANT. IT ISNT THE SOLUTION FOR CHANGE, BUT IT DOES HELP DETERMINE WHERE THEY SPEND MONEY, AND LAWS.
