2014. Epic is an understatement. Whilst we encountered some challenges and minor set backs – we still have so much to be grateful for. We bought a beautiful new home. Our careers continued to flourish. Giving Productions was born and Hollywood Honky-Tonk debuted to a sell out crowd at Gasworks receiving rave reviews. Only one or two new grey hairs after that experience, but it was an absolute honour and a privilege to work with the incredible Michael Ralph and a fabulous cast and crew. I spent a remarkable 2 days with a group of likeminded, philanthropic youngsters at the Nexus: Global Youth Summit. Attended 68 performances – many at Arts Centre Melbourne, which is now more like a second home! Philanthropy gave me many new challenges and wonderful opportunities – including working with amazing organisations with the most passionate staff who inspire me. Leo and I celebrated 5 happy years together and whilst our Government still fails to recognise it, we also celebrated 2 years of marriage. I grow impatient with the lack of change on this issue as are more and more Australians who believe love and equality should transcend politics. We had a number of magnificent holidays with amazing friends and loved ones. Most of all I am unbelievably grateful for our wonderful friends and family, who love us and support us, keep us going and make us strive to be better. Bring on 2015! May it bring many more exciting challenges, experiences and peace in an ever-uncertain world. Love and HNY x
