2014 Graduates please read this now! It is assumed that you have learned how to read because you graduated! 1. Higher Education is not free. (Nether were the houses that were given to unqualified buyers in 2007-2009). You have a responsibility to pay your debts. No one made you go to college. 2. Why did you get a degree in Psychology or Philosophy if you thought you were going to make money? (Recent and old data indicates that these degrees are low paying). 3. If you want to get a degree to improve your finances I suggest that you get a degree in finance or business. Per Donald Trump, “Get a degree that will help you make a good living.” 4. I got a degree (recently Dec 13 in 2.5 years) while holding a full time job. I used student loans and paid all of them off before I walked the stage. The government did not give me one red cent. 5. I got a degree in Accounting because it taught me a lot about how business’s function. Most college students take two accounting classes and switch majors because they find it too difficult. 6. Most importantly the government will not be able to bail you out because it has already spent their budget on healthcare, are bankrupt, and they do not have degrees in finance or business. (Free suggestion-apply for a government job).
