2014 I will not be too sad to see you go. There have been highlights to be sure but there have been the downsides equally. Mum is still with us which is a wonderful thing! We have been through pneumonia with her, a broken hip and subsequent surgery for a total ball and joint replacement, blood and iron transfusions and ongoing pain and issues with an unidentified slow bleed. She has good days and days were her memory is non-existent. Mum attending her grandsons wedding in May was a highlight and this past Christmas she was doing really well. Mum was engaged and engaging and appreciated the cards (Donna Kroeger you are an angel with your wonderful cards and pictures!) and Christmas gifts she received. Hubby#1 and I spent several hours with her on Christmas day for a great visit. Davids overall health has leveled out this year finally! Despite being a diabetic for so long he has no issues with nerves, kidneys or eyes, this is amazing! My health has its ups and downs. Finding the right level for my thyroid is still a work in progress and I keep being reminded how important this butterfly gland is. (My dear inspiring friend Rayanne Forbes unfortunately understands this even more than I do, as do peeps involved with Executive Director, Rayannes, The Graves Disease Foundation of Edmonton.) Shameless plug: Have a (or a few) Celebrity Butterfly Burgers in January at Delux Burger to support @GDFyeg! Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) in my back continues to be a battle (hence the degenerative aspect) and my shoulder recovery is ongoing. Dieter the puppy boy has continued to be a delight and makes our house a home in so many ways! We
