2014 IN REVIEW - MY TOP TEN 1. We didn’t stop Michael Bay from ruining Ninja Turtles. Childhood ruined everything ruined. 2. The Blackout Girls cosplayed road warrior and the IRIS girls cosplayed Ninja Turtles. Go figure. Most random cosplay of the year award. 3. The extra LED robot at Imagine that I got to battle….he wasnt ready. 4. Did the foam party alongside a yeti. Surprisingly more fun than a paint party. Met 12th Planet! 5. Best movie was Guardians of the Galaxy. “Finger on throat means death!” Were just like Kevin Bacon. Bring it down hard now! Ooooooooo chiiiiiild *dancing* 6. We learned which friends are completely sheltered and indifferent about the reality of poverty, oppression, police brutality, racism, and the prison-industrial complex. *HANDS UP!* 7. I would tell you a joke about Ebola..... but you’ll never get it. 8. Japan, St. Louis, Charleston, Destin, and Charlotte got to meet Bass Bot. Alabama maybe next year......naw. 9. We survived camping at Counterpoint but Alex Gresham and the tent didn’t. Welcome to moop land. 10. Rode the DEATH CAR at Alchemy - A modified Suzuki sidekick with a bar, bartender, and a trailer attachment full of heavy metal head banging badassery speeding around the festival. Yerp.
