2014 JR. LEAGUE 14U SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES DIAMOND NEWS Eagle Pass 14U Jr. League All-Stars Lose to IIoiIo Province, Philippines 7 to 2 By: Conrado Perez, Jr. – Eagle Pass Sports Central “Your best and only source for local sports news in Eagle Pass” The pride of Eagle Pass, Texas and Maverick County the Southwest Regional champion Eagle Pass Jr. League Softball 14U All-Stars culminated play at the 2014 Little League Jr. League 14U Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington on Friday, August 15, 2014 with a 1:00 PM Consolation game against IIoiIo Province, Philippines the Asia-Pacific Regional champion. Unfortunately the Eagle Pass Jr. League 14U Softball All-stars dropped their final game at the World Series by the final score of 7 to 2 but not without a valiant fight. The experience that each player attained at this truly elite World Series will only serve to enhance their overall skills in all aspects of the game that will greatly benefit them throughout their future athletic careers. The 2014 Southwest Regional champion Eagle Pass Jr. League 14U Softball All-Stars that competed at the 2014 Jr. League 14U Softball World Series included Kayla Ochoa, Leenette Krezdorn, Elena De Alba, Connie Hernandez, Emily Snider, Joelynn Gonzalez, Janessa Garza, Isabelle Ruiz, Lynet Gil, Karina Ruiz, Lizann Ruiz, Daniella Rodriguez, and Marichelo Flores. The team was coached by Willie Ruiz, Sonny Snyder and Mac De Alba. Eagle Pass Sports Central congratulates the highly talented young Eagle Pass Jr. League 14U Softball All-Stars on your magnificent accomplishment in competing in the prestigious high caliber 2014 Little League Jr. League 14U World Series where you went head to head against the very best competition from around the entire world and you more than managed to hold your own. We thank you for representing the entire community of Eagle Pass, Texas and Maverick County with class, dignity and pride as well as exemplifying great sportsmanship.
