The KOrean Women’s International Network (KOWIN) Vancouver in collaboration with the Association of Korean-Canadian Scientists and Engineers (AKCSE) hosts the 2014 Korean-Canadian Young Generation Conference: Presentation Competition. Both KOWIN Vancouver and AKCSE have been interested in supporting and growing the leaders of next young generation. Collaboration between these two organizations will be a successful example for ideal collaboration to other Korean organizations in Canada. The intent of the competition is to encourage Korean-Canadian young generation to present their cultivating and persuasive communication skills at an early stage in their careers. It is KOWIN’s one of the major events to foster outstanding Korean Canadian global leaders who will contribute to raise the status of Korea in Canadian society. Conference Objectives To cultivate confidence and self-esteem as Korean-Canadians To hoist constructive vision for Overseas Korean To improve oral presentation skills and networking ability To promote networking with Korean-Canadian professionals Conference Registration Pre-Conference Registration: Conference is free of charge if your registration is confirmed by the conference organizing committee. You can register for the conference via email (kowin.vancouver@gmail). If you are participating in the Presentation Competition, you don’t have to register for the conference again as you will automatically be registered in the conference. On-Site Conference Registration: $20 Competition Important Dates Application Submission: September 29th, 2014 ~ October 15th, 2014, 5pm (deadline) Application form Presentation abstract (included in the application form.) Ten finalists selected based on the application requirements will be invited to the conference by email individually as well as announced under the Announcement page of the current site on October 20th, 2014. Conference (Presentation Competition): 1pm ~ 5pm, November 1, 2014 Presentation Competition will be held at UBC Robson Square Theatre (The link provides information on directions, public transit, and parking along with a map.) Details can be found at the Competition Information page. 2014 한인 차세대 컨퍼런스 (Korean-Canadian Young Generation Conference) 코윈 밴쿠버 (KOWIN Vancouver)와 과학 기술자 밴쿠버 협회 (AKCSE Vancouver)가 함께 캐나다 거주 한인 대학생 (한인 유학생 포함)을 대상으로 아래와 같이 차세대 컨퍼런스를 개최합니다. 일시: 2014. 11. 1 (토) 오후 1시~5시 장소: UBC 다운타운 랍슨 스퀘어 극장 본 컨퍼런스는 프레젠테이션 전문가의 워크샵과 프레젠테이션 대회, 캐나다 주류사회에서 전문인으로 일하고 있는 여러 선배들과의 만남으로 이루어지며, 한인으로서의 자긍심 고취와 대학 생활에서 중요한 프레젠테이션 능력을 배양시키는 소중한 기회가 될 것입니다. 많은 대학생들의 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다. 참가자격: 캐나다 거주 한국계 대학생 (유학생 포함) 팀 구성: 1인~3인 예선 참가방법: 기한 내에 다음의 두 가지 제출 (kowin.vancouver@gmail) 참가신청서 (홈페이지에서 양식 제공) 발표내용 요약 (참가신청서에 포함) 프레젠테이션은 영어로 진행해야 하며, 예선심사 후 선발된 10개의 팀은 본선에서 8분의 프레젠테이션과 3분의 질의문답을 합니다. 심사일정 2014. 10. 15 (수) 오후 5시까지 참가신청 2014. 10. 20 (월) 본선 진출자 발표 (홈페이지 및 이메일) 시상내역 대상 1팀: 대한항공 밴쿠버-서울 왕복 항공권 1매 (Tax는 본인부담) 금상: $500 은상: $300 동상: $100 인기상: 상품권 (현장 투표로 선정) 컨퍼런스 일반 참석 신청 행사 당일 좌석이 한정되어 예약 필수. 참석자 이름과 전화번호를 행사 전날 (2014. 10. 31, 금)까지 코윈 이메일 (kowin.vancouver@gmail)로 신청 (프리젠테이션 대회 본선 진출자의 가족이나 친지들도 컨퍼런스 참석 예약 필수). 예약시 입장료 무료 및 인기상 투표권 부여 예약없이 당일 컨퍼런스 참석은 $20의 입장료 부과 및 인기상 투표권 없슴
