2014 MISS SAMPSON COUNTY QUEEN OF QUEEN’S PAGEANT LAST PRELIMINARY PAGEANT FOR LITTLE/TEEN MISS NORTH CAROLINA ***SPECIAL INCENTIVES OFFERED FOR THIS PRELIMINARY…..PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! CONTESTANTS COULD RECEIVE $300 AND MORE OFF OF THEIR LITTLE/TEEN MISS NORTH CAROLINA STATE FEES!! AWESOME OPPORTUNITY!!!! The very first “Miss Sampson County Queen of Queen’s ” Pageant will be held on Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 at Salemburg Elementary. Mandatory areas of competition will include Outfit of Choice, Beauty, and Most Beautiful. Outfit of Choice may be custom-made or simply “off the rack”….anything goes in this category, and accessories will be allowed. Contestants may also choose to bring their own CD music for this competition (must be cut to that one song and must be less than 1 ½ minutes) or they may use my CD. Showcase your personality in Outfit of Choice! In Beauty, all ages may wear pageant dress. The dress itself will not be judged, but rather how it fits/suits the contestant. There will be one winner crowned in each age division. The number of entries in each age division will determine the number of “Runner-ups” in the divisions. However, every contestant will receive a trophy and crown/tiara…no one will be left out! There will also be one MINI-MAJESTIC (from ages 0-6) and one MAJESTIC (from ages 7 and up), if we have at least 10 contestants in those two age spans. In this preliminary, all contestants will be eligible to compete for Mini-Majestic or Majestic titles. This will also increase all contestants’ chance to win a title/crown! AS A BONUS INCENTIVE, THE MAJESTICS WILL RECEIVE $150 PAID TOWARD THEIR LITTLE/TEEN MISS NORTH CAROLINA PAGEANT FEES!!! PLUS THEIR $50 BEAUTY FEE PAID!!! ADDITIONAL BONUS INCENTIVE: *THERE WILL NOT BE A SPONSORSHIP COLLECTION FOR THIS PAGEANT; HOWEVER, ALL CONTESTANTS MUST PARTICIPATE IN COLLECTING PEOPLE’S CHOICE VOTES. ALL CONTESTANTS MUST COLLECT AT LEAST $25.00 IN PEOPLE’S CHOICE VOTES. THE CONTESTANT THAT COLLECTS THE MOST IN PEOPLE’S CHOICE VOTES WILL RECEIVE AN EXTRA $100 TOWARD HER LITTLE/TEEN MISS NORTH CAROLINA PAGEANT FEES, IN ADDITION TO WINNING A BEAUTIFUL FULL ROUND CROWN! PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD: Encourage your friends and family to vote for you as their FAVORITE contestant, for only $1 per vote! Votes can be collected prior to pageant day AND during the pageant. One lucky contestant will be crowned with a beautiful full round crown AND will also be a part of the Queens’ court, EVEN if this contestant is also crowned a division winner OR one of the Majestic winners!!! Remember too, that she will also receive an extra $100 toward her State Pageant fees!!! You may turn in your People’s Choice Vote money that you collect in advance at Registration on Pageant day. Call 910-990-4539) ABSOLUTE DEADLINE TO ENTER IS SUNDAY, APRIL 6!) STAGE FORMAT: Please go ahead and practice at home. Parents of younger children, work with them prior to pageant day. Parents may accompany children onstage under the age of 4. In Outfit of Choice competition, there is no specific way to walk the stage. Outfit of Choice should showcase each contestants’ personality, so the walk should be upbeat! If you are bringing your own CD for this competition, make sure the CD is cut so that once you have finished your routine you may exit the stage. Contestants who are using my CD will exit the stage once the emcee announces your name. In Beauty, contestants are encouraged to follow a specific format. Once contestants hear their name being announced, contestants will enter the stage from back center (under the arch). There will be an X there. Contestants will stop there for a few seconds, then will proceed to walk to their stage left, stop, do a turn, pause, turn back facing audience, pause. Then they will walk directly across to their stage right, stop, do a turn, pause, turn back facing audience, and STAY THERE until they hear the emcee say “This is Contestant #_____and “their name”….Finally, they will exit the stage the same way they came on the stage. I hope this will help you be more prepared. Make sure you practice making eye contact with the judges as well as addressing the audience. Practice SMILING! GOOD LUCK TO ALL CONTESTANTS! Just remember, you are ALL truly winners just for getting up there onstage in front of an audience! I would advise you to come already mostly dressed for Outfit of Choice or you may dress at the school, but please allow enough time to Register and practice walking the stage. There will be someone onstage to help if needed. Only females are allowed in the Dressing areas. Mom and the Hairdresser will receive a free pass, and are the ONLY ones allowed in the Dressing rooms…no one else! We don’t want to overcrowd these areas. Please help keep the Dressing rooms clean by disposing of ALL trash and do not allow children to bother the teachers’ personal stuff in the classrooms. This is very important! Thanks in advance for your help in this matter. Please monitor young kids so they do not get hurt. I would also advise that you bring something for them to do while waiting, like a coloring book, puzzle, etc. Please be ready PROMPTLY at 2:00. We simply cannot wait on anyone. We will have helpers in getting everyone lined up for each competition. ADMISSION PRICES: *Admission for family members and friends will be $6.00. (Children under 3 are FREE.) All visiting Queens are also admitted FREE with crown and current sash. Concessions (drinks, chips, and candy) will be sold, as well as Half and Half Tickets!
