2014 MPA PARALEGAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD Every MPA member can no doubt name a paralegal who goes above and beyond in and out of the office. Give them a chance to receive the recognition they deserve by nominating them for the 2014 MPA Paralegal Citizenship Award! Self-nominations are encouraged as well! Submit your nomination – for a friend, a coworker, or yourself – by Wednesday, October 1, 2014. ELIGIBILITY: Any legal professional may submit a nomination for a paralegal that has gone above and beyond, but the nominee, nevertheless, must be a voting, student, or affiliate MPA member. Vendors, full-time paralegal educators, lawyers or sustaining association members may not be nominated. General criteria of qualities are set forth below: 1. Dedication to the paralegal profession; 2. Service to the legal community; 3. Leadership skills; 4. Participation within the MPA and/or NFPA; and 5. Demonstrating a willingness to donate time and effort while volunteering and/or participating in a pro bono activity. SELECTION: Nominations will be scored by criteria set forth by the Director of Marketing. Two legal professionals who are not paralegals will score the nominations. DEADLINE: Nominations are due no later than Wednesday, October 1, 2014 and should be sent to: Minnesota Paralegal Association Attn: Michelle Sok 2345 Rice Street, Suite 220 St. Paul, MN 55113 AWARD: A winner will be announced at the MPA Fall Gathering on October 24, 2014. The winner will receive a certificate, a $50 Visa gift card, and will be featured in the MPA Citations newsletter.
