2014 PRE CYCLONE CLEAN UP: The City of Palmerston will be conducting FREE hard rubbish collection for all residential suburbs on the following dates: 18th-19th October - Farrar, Gunn, Bakewell, Rosebery, Johnston, Bellamack, Zuccoli 20th September - Alawa, Brinkin, Jingili, Karama, Leanyer, Lyons, Malak, Marrara, Moil, Murihead, Nakara, Tiwi, Wagaman, Wanguri & Wulagi 11th October - Remaining Darwin Suburbs Place items that may become dangerous in a cyclone onto your nature strip carefully, keep footpaths clear and be mindful of the safety of the council workers. Items that will be collected include whitegoods and air conditioners, furniture and bicycles as well as waste building products such as steel, timber and roofing materials. The council would like you to please note that the items may take up to a week to collect from nature strips. Residents are asked to make sure that no flammable liquids, paint, oil, chemicals, car bodies, tyres, commercial waste or garden refuse are to be placed out for collection.
