2014: The year of acceptance. Once upon a time, I had risen to the top of my profession. When those markets came tumbling down, I allowed my pride to become my own barrier. Rather than start at the bottom again, I chose to take a series of temporary grunt work jobs, because that was easier to swallow than taking anything permanent that I thought was beneath me. In 2014, I said enough. The past is gone. It is time forget what used to be, and figure out what is going to be. So I finally took a permanent gig, doing something I never saw myself doing. As it turned out...it didnt suck. I found a group of very cool, very professional people of like minds and before long realized yeah...this is alright. Im glad I tried this! The down side is the realization that I could have 4 years under my belt...had I not spent that much time being prideful and stubborn. The lesson is that the only thing that happens when you live in the past, is that you dont have time to live in the present. Thanks be to God for ole 2014...and the new professional life that came with it. 2015, its a pleasure to meet you. You, my new friend, will be the ladder climbing year! Lets roll!
