2014 has been a great year, I have always known I had nine lives and my career path took care of most of them. Then I was diagnosed with the Big C, apart from the odd eye or so, currently beating that, then another attempt to spoil my year, with a heart attack, beat that one, easy peasey. Summer lifted me greatly with a London - Keele cycle ride, a beautiful day, with hard work and good company, 12hrs 2 mins! Keele granted me the status of Doctor of Keele University, a proud moment. In Dec the footie lads went over to Aachen Uni to re-enact the 1914 Christmas Truce Match, this was a wonderful tribute to the Fallen, the event was a resounding success, the game itself ended 2-2. All who took part can feel proud that you upheld the high standards of KUFC, in all that we do. I would like to thank everyone for all the help and support that you have directed to the club and myself during the past year. Let us work, collectively, toward another successful year, there will be problems but as a group with a common aim there are few things we cant overcome. 3rd years get swatting, everyone else get running you have lots of football coming your way..............tomorrow morning will be my 8 consecutive day of training, and boy do I feel better. I would be good to see as many of you as possible at the R&R Gathering at the RAF Club on Sat 24 Jan 2015, may be sometime until we all meet up again. A sincere and Happy New Year to you all, keep safe, see you all on your return. Coach
