2014 has been a very challenging year for my family & now I am reaching out for everyones help! People who know me well know that I am a kind, generous, loving, & big hearted person. So this story may sound confusing but none the less heartbreaking. April 1, 2014 I placed an ad on Craigslist to adopt my then 8 month old purebred Siberian husky puppy named Maverick. The events that I explain that follow that day will shock & baffle you & may even change your mind about adopting any animal in the future. The following week I received a phone call from a lady interested in adopting Maverick. So I conducted an interview and talked with her many occasions on the phone. Her name is Liz Levine from Phoenixville, PA. She told me she was in the St Cloud area visiting family members. She was very interested in adopting him and after all of the conversations she seemed suitable. Why was I adopting out such a wonderful beautiful puppy you may be asking yourself? That is a very complicated & long story but I had a tough decision to make...my daughter, Anastacia or my beloved puppy Maverick? So I chose Maverick which was the most heart breaking mistake I have regretted ever since. April 12, 2014, Liz Levine came to my home & met Maverick & he took to her immediately. So at that point I had no reason to be concerned or worried. I had a good intuition about her until she told me she could not pay me the full amount I was selling Maverick for. I felt a rush of uneasiness go through my body but agreed to write up a note stating she could owe me the rest of the money. I should have listened to my instincts. April 21, 2014, I received a call from Sauk Rapids Police Department from the receptionist Bonnie asking me if I was missing my husky puppy Maverick. Bewildered I asked, No why? I sold him on Craigslist a week ago but never got fully paid? Bonnie replied...I just received a call from a woman named Joyce Scruggs in Powell, WY who said she found maverick roaming around Yellowstone National Park with just his collar & leash on unattended!!!! My heart began to race...I wondered how could Maverick have got from PA to WY?? So Bonnie gave me Joyces phone number and I spoke with her that same morning. I told her to please email me a picture of Maverick to confirm his identity because I thought this was some sort of joke or scam. She never sent me a picture and disconnected her phone number. I called the deputy named Bruce Olson in Wyoming handling the case who told me that because I sold Maverick & Joyce found him that legally she can keep Maverick because the laws in Wyoming are different!!!!! I could not believe my ears! First, Joyce reports Maverick missing then decides she plans to keep him even after I told her I wanted him back because Minnesota property law states that if a transaction is not paid in full the seller--which would be me still has ownership of the property --which would be Maverick. Joyce and the deputy REFUSE to give back my puppy. I emailed Joyce 5 times & a few weeks ago I had a Sauk Rapids Police Officer come to my door telling me Bruce Olson contacted them and said they would charge me with harassment if I did not stop contacting Joyce Scruggs. I received a letter from none other than JUDGE JUDY wanting me to appear on her show but unfortunately they have not got any response from Liz Levine from PA because she has to agree to participate. Now its a race against time to find Maverick & bring him home safe & sound where he belongs! HERES THE IMPORTANT PIECE: I NEED EVERYONES HELP TO SPREAD THE WORD! TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS & INVITE EVERYONE TO JOIN THIS GROUP & REPOST IT SO IT CAN REACH WY & PA! LETS STOP THESE PEOPLE WHO PREY ON INNOCENT VICTIMS IN ORDER TO MAKE $$$ SELLING PUREBRED DOGS.
