2014 has been an incredible year for wecamefromwolves ...(well leave the spiel for Hogmanay!)...and we head into Christmas as everyone does, with excitement for seeing friends and family back home and looking forward to a tasty dinner with plenty of bevvy to wash it down with!...however the recent events in our city of residence, Glasgow, have sent a real sadness through our country and our thoughts, as im sure everyones do, go to those who were lost or who have lost...however the spirit of this City will rise up again, in tribute. A spirit like The Everlasting Food Bank , which ensure so many people, (men, women and children) dont go hungry throughout the year, and especially through these cold, hard months. we will be playing a benefit show at NICE N SLEAZY, Glasgow, on January 31st with Mickey 9s and Ross Leighton of Fatherson with all proceeds going to the food bank. (tickets and details to follow shortly) Another brilliant cause helping those in need is Social Bite ...tomorrow they will open their doors to the homeless of Glasgow, and Edinburgh in their sister store, to provide Christmas meals and hot drinks for everyone they can...you can donate just £5.00 and buy a homeless person a Christmas meal at - https://itison/Glasgow/deals/buy-a-homeless-person-xmas-dinner-social-bite and finally a fantastic cause being supported by some of our good friends Poor Things, Algernon Doll & Pronto Mamawith The Good Pack, a pay-what-you-like campaign running til Christmas day for the downloading of 6 new albums - https://thegoodpack These initiatives, and many more are the true spirit of what this holiday is about, along with family, and loved ones...it feels like quite a sombre Christmas this year, but hard work from all of the above causes, and many many more will ensure that real progress is being made in helping those who need it. Consider supporting one of the above causes, and/or coming to the fund raiser show on Jan 31st (tickets available soon) and really making a positive impact towards another human being...we will all need a hand at some point in our life, pay it forward.
