2014 has been the very worst year of my life. My family and I have endured incredible loss and devastating tragedy. To say it has been trying would be a total understatement. However, here are some lessons that I have learned that will carry me into the new year and beyond. 1. Life is fragile. Never take anyone for granted. Make sure you always let the ones you love the most know how much you truly love them. 2. My faith is not determined by my circumstances. When life is going good people often say, Yay, God. When things get bad people often ask, Wheres God?. And when things get really bad some people ask, Is there a God?. I dont do that. My faith in God is not determined by how good or how bad things may be going in my life at any particular time. My faith is based solely upon CHRIST and what He did for me when He died and rose again from the grave- paying the price for my sins. I am His, and my eternity is secure in Him and Him alone. My faith is actually even stronger in spite of my circumstances. 3. The prayer of righteous people truly does accomplish so much. I am so grateful for everyone who has prayed, and continues to pray, for my family. 4. GOD IS FOREVER GOOD! He is my friend. He is my protector. He is my counsellor. He is my everything! To Him, and Him alone, belongs all glory, honor, and praise forever and ever! Im looking forward to seeing all that is in store for us in 2015.
