2014 marks 70 years since New Zealand’s first refugees arrived in Wellington. The Museum is a part of the Celebrating Everything Polish Festival. As part of the Festival on Saturday 26 October, the Museum will be hosting some of the amazing Polish dancers. A traditional dance is the Polonaise or Polonez, evolved from a dance called the Chodzony (Walking Dance) in the 15th century. As you might guess from the description the dancers walk around the dance floor. It was danced even by royalty and nobility. https://youtube/watch?v=o3e1OH1BpjA
