2014 surprised me in ways that Im still trying to understand. Last New Years Eve poor Stephanie was already fighting some fierce and ultimately unrelenting morning sickness which followed her through the day of delivery. On Easter Sunday my daughter and son in law put me on speaker phone when they called me from NYC to tell me they were having a baby. Two days later I got a text message from my daughter which was an ultrasound image of not one but two little identical beans. Michel teased me that I was catching up with him quite efficiently as he had three lovely granddaughters but it had taken a few years. I was on the fast track - all of three of mine came in a matter of months! Tonight I will be celebrating NYE with Evelyn and her Mom and Dad and Im so excited. I know who I will be kissing at midnight! I will also be thinking of my two Manhattan based granddaughters and their parents. What an INCREDIBLE year it has been. The timing couldnt have been more perfect that these three little girls arrived. Im grateful. Love my family. 2014 you have been very generous to us.
