2014 was a year of great contradictions for me. I had to learn patience and wait on many forces out of my control for business at times, and was rushing through the night at others. I shied away from the spotlight of public speaking for a year, but got even more affirmation meeting some great minds and colleague in the US. I spent more time bonding while mountain biking with the other half, but she seems to like me even less. My cycling group started of in the pursuit of health, but now spend more time drinking then cycling again. Meanwhile as a nation, we had our hearts broken over so many senseless tragedies, the heavens decided to first starve us of water at the beginning of the year, and now we are deluged by too much. The cost of living has gone up tremendously, but remuneraton remains stagnant for all but entrepreneurs. Many well meaning people try to help us, pontificating and campaigning, but in their ignorance they often make things worse. So instead of wishing you a happy new year, let me say that I want us all to have a hopeful new year. HOPE, that we will find the strength to preservere, that those in need of help will get it, that those who have the resources will forgo some greed and extend the help needed, that those in power will start making investments and decisions that will benefit the nation in the long run and that justice and mercy will not forsake this nation of ours.
