2014 was a year of many firsts, many memories, and many milestones. I started the year off trying snow shoeing for the first time. In the meantime, I prepared for an interview of a job I knew I probably wouldnt get... And I didnt; But the learning experience from it was a priceless takeaway. My condo was yet again ripped apart by ice damming, and I felt the joy and security of watching the two men I love the most in my life, Ben and my dad, put the pieces back together for me. I watched my beautiful niece Charlotte turn 1, and realized what a precious gift she was to everyone. Ben and I planted and harvested our first garden, and I watched it turn into an exciting new hobby that we can do together. I put my condo on the market, and lost my pants when I sold it. But I got to move in with the love of my life and I watched our relationship grow into a wonderful FUN partnership. We did a lot of traveling and hiking up here in New England. Ben and I hiked the Taconics for the first time. The beauty of Connecticut still amazes me! We also hiked at Acadia national national park for the first time and backpacked around Zealand mountain for 4 days. I laid outside in the dark in NH and saw the Milky Way with my bare eyes, and saw my first shooting star. We got to spend some much needed time relaxing at the lake house In Maine with the Rizys. I celebrated my future sister in laws beautiful new home and celebrated many 30th birthdays of very close friends, including myself. I had my first surprise birthday party :) One chapter closed, to another one opened. I had a blast completing my first rugged maniac! I found out that one of my best friends was going to give me another precious niece or nephew in the new year. Ben asked me to be his wife, and we realized just how many people love and care about us. It was overwhelming to see the excitement and support from everybody. This past year, I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. I cant wait to see what firsts 2015 holds for us. Cheers to us and to you all. May we all have lots of laughs, and lots of memories made. May we let go of grudges, be kinder to one another, take a break, and have the best damn 2015 that we can possibly have! 🎉
