2014 will always be remembered by me as an amazing swimming year. So much has happened - so many accomplishments, lessons learned and new friends in this year. Looking back, here are some key events that occured: PRADA Swim Meet We were finally able to win the championship in both the midgets and juniors divisions! NCR Palaro Quezon City wins three out of the four divisions and a lot of our swimmers qualified for Palarong Pambansa Palarong Pambansa I coached the Elementary Boys team for the third straight year but this has been the most successful year as the boys almost swept all gold medals, leaving only two. We also established a couple of records! UAAP Season 77 Im particularly proud of the freshman batch we were able to recruit. They truly spelled the difference in this years UAAP. Finally, we were able to win all three divisions we competed in. The boys team nailed its 10th straight championship while the mens and womens team both won for the second time. Add to that all the individual awards that our swimmers received. What a clean sweep! ASEAN Schools Games A surprise in the year came when I was asked to coach the Philippine team competing in the ASG. It was truly a learning experience even if we did not win anything. I met great swimmers not just from other countries but, more importantly, our homegrown talent! Thanks to all the swimmers, parents and friends for being with me in this journey! Thank You for a wonderful 2014 in swimming! I pray for more blessings to come this 2015! Happy new year to everyone!
