2015: APC Will Rescue Kaduna From Under- development Isaiah Benjamin — March 9, 2014 A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Ambassador Sule Buba has said that the party has concluded plans to rescue the state from under development by 2015 general election. The Ambassador stated this at a dinner organised for journalists by his pet project, ‘Save Kaduna 2015’ noting that glory of Kaduna as the hub of political activities of the North has fizzled, adding that there was dull moment in the political arena of the state that requires urgent revival. He said the opposition party was not out to witch-hunt any individual, but to correct abnormalities in the system for the progress and development of the State. He said, “Kaduna was the centre of all activities. But from 2008 up to date, there seems to be a dull period where nothing is happening, there are no political activities, there is no physical and human development. “In fact, it appears that one is finding it difficult to know or to see and say that we are getting our due share of the federation account because we don’t see development taking place. If you compare what is happening in neighbouring states, Kano, Jigawa and host of other states, there are significant transformation in all aspects of social life, but Kaduna is in a big slumber, this is what informed the formation of this group, that we cannot just fold our arms to see things dropping in our state, and by extension in other parts of the country. “And because of our concern, we decided to form this Kaduna group to save Kaduna in 2015. I want to keep on record that our group is not against individual. We are after the system because we want to transform the system, and even if the individual that represents the system is removed, and the system is not corrected, you will not have the desired result, so that is why our intention and our agenda is to help the system and return the past glory of Kaduna back to Kaduna, and Nigeria in general. “Kaduna State, as we are all aware is the political hub of the entire Northern states, and it has been the part of the agenda of not only Kaduna State, but the country at large. And some people even said that if Kaduna sneezes, the entire country catches cold, but that was then, not now. Kaduna then was able to dictate the tune because of certain empirical analysis. There was a lot of development; there was so much political awareness.”
