2015 BOATING SEASON -- SHORT-TERM (DAILY) DOCKING AT CRANBERRY - TopicsExpress

2015 BOATING SEASON -- SHORT-TERM (DAILY) DOCKING AT CRANBERRY LAKE MARINA In response to customer inquiries about short term in-town docking access, Cranberry Lake Marina is considering whether to lease daily dock spaces (short term docking) to individuals for the 2015 boating season, similar to what has been provided to the Cranberry Lake Boat Club in the past for its members. Cranberry Lake Marina will not be leasing a dock to the Boat Club in 2015. The following approach is under consideration based on the practices of other marinas: • Docking would be available for the boats of those individuals who enter into a written lease, pay the seasonal lease fee, and display the Marina 2015 sticker. This will not be a public dock and short term docking will be limited to tenants’ boats. • Lease agreements and docking stickers will be issued to a limited number of individuals, so that the available short term dock space is not overloaded. • Docking is on a space available basis only and no particular space is guaranteed. • Docking at the short term dock would be from sunrise to sunset with no overnight docking or docking after dark. • Docking is for up to 4 hours, unless special arrangements are made • Dock tenants must sign the Marina lease agreement with the liability release and other terms. Tenants will use the short term dock at their own risk, and assume all risk of property damage or personal injury for themselves, family members and guests from use of the short term dock and Marina. • Tenants will agree to the Marina’s rules and use guidelines and docking rights are subject to termination without refund for violations. • The short term seasonal docking lease runs from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day, and the lease fee is for that entire period, without proration. Lease agreements and dock stickers are for specific customers, and are not transferable. • The lease fee for the 2015 (143 day) season is yet to be determined. It is currently projected at around $200 (approximately $1.40 per day) for boats 18 feet and less and $250 for boats more than 18 feet. Individuals who are interested in this lease arrangement or who have comments or suggestions can contact the Marina at cranberrymarine@aol. A decision on the above will be made early in 2015. At this point, we are also expecting that a limited number of seasonal dock slips (hoists) with 24 hour access will also be available for customers in 2015.
