2015: Be Vigilant, Don’t Vote drug addicts, Says APC Youth Leader The Director of youth for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru Zuntu has called on members of his party to select vibrant youth to represent them in various elective posts, at the same time, calling on electorates to be vigilant as not to vote drug addicts or anybody found guilty of drug related offenses. Mallam Zuntu who was speaking during the meeting of 67 youth organizations from the 23 local government areas of the state, held in Kaduna yesterday, said the bane of thugs’ activities in Nigerian politics was handiwork of greedy politicians who are ready to give drug to other peoples’ children while they hid their children in Dubai, London and Qatar. “From our own findings, we discovered that our youth have been misled and drawn into drug addiction for so long and the ruling party, PDP is guilty of this. But as youth leader in Kaduna state, we have recaptured and rehabilitated them to make them useful to the society. “The future belongs to the youth and they have to protect it not through violence but by protecting their votes and not allowing anybody to hijack their votes from them. Go and sit and protect your vote. “This meeting is to sensitize the youth in Kaduna State to support the best candidate who will be the flag bearer of the party come 2015 governorship election at the same time call on contestants to rally support for whosoever emerges as our flag bearer so that our party can emerge victorious at the poll,” he said. Mallam Zuntu also said Kaduna State is a unique state, with divers ethno religion background and that was why all groups and interests must support the candidate that will make sure the state returns to its old peaceful days where people could go to sleep with two eyes closed and their children go to school with good teachers and materials waiting for them and their wives did not need to go antenatal care at private hospitals.
