2015 Election: See What PDP Plans To Do To APC Members The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, South- South zone, Dr Cairo Ojugbo, on Monday revealed that the party will campaign to members of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers and Edo States. Speaking to NAN reporter in Abuja, Ojugbo expressed optimism that the party will prevail on APC members in the zone to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election in 2015. He promised that the party will work extra hard to talk to our brothers in other political parties in the states to come and join the train that is heading Nigeria to right direction. He also disclosed that the zonal PDP plan to deliver the electorate to the party by ensuring that it won all votes in the 2015 general elections, adding that they would go to every nook and crannies in the south-south to achieve their goal. The zonal chairman assured that the party is ready to work to make sure they do not loose any seat any of its members intend to vie for. He said the zone was very determined to make sure President Jonathan id re-elected into office in 2015 because such development will bring the long awaited peace in the zone and the country in general. Ojugbo further stated that the 4 million pro-Jonathan signatures that the Transformation Ambassador (TAN) got in its Portharcut rally showed that the zone is solidly behind the President. According to him, the zone was convinced that Jonathan had done well in all sectors of the economy and deserved to be re-elected to continue the good work, noting that despite the security challenges in the country, Jonathan supporters were still waxing strong. Ojubgo, who hinted that there were some divisions amongst politicians in the zone, expressed optimism that they would all speak with one voice when the time comes. He urged politicians in the zone to support Jonathan’s re-election in 2015, and posited that PDP was the only party that truly adheres to the rule of law. The South-South zone seems to be very desperate over the re- election bid of President Goodluck Jonthan in 2015 as it would be recalled that on September 7, 2014, the South-South Chiefs and Elders Council, SSCEC International vowed to arrest President Goodluck Jonathan, if he refuse to declare for 2015. It would be recalled that on September 5, 2014, Ijaw leader Chief Edwin Clark, on Thursday, said the Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, is not qualified to become the country’s President.
