I have not seen any credible aspirants in All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interim. Samson Osagie and Jim Adun Posters are in every nook and cranny of Edo South aspiring to represent Edo South People in the Upper Legislative Chamber. Though Samson Osagie is not an intellectual lilliputian, mediocre or dilettante as far legislative business is concern , I must appreciate his cerebral and intellectual contributions during debates on the floor of the House. We need a new hand that will sincerely deliver the dividends of democracy to the Aminu kanos talakawa that have been sequestered to the sepulchre for donkey years by the reactionaries in government. The philosophy of sit tightism and legislative absolute monarchy are unacceptable in Edo South because we are not tabularasa and Edo south is not a political conquered territory of any politician. It is a complete malodorous saga cum gargantuan gaga for Samson Osagie to declare his political interest to contest for the senatorial seat from the quagmire and phanstamagorism of political gambadosim having spent good 15 years of his political peregrination in the legislative chambers both State cum Federal level.We want to try another person this time. Meetings are going on seriously to retire those that have spent more than ten years in the hallowed chambers from politics, without making any impact positively on the talakawa. No Army in the word can stop an idea whose time has come. As for Jim Adun , his modus operandi and modus vivendi is to slumber in the hallowed chamber, when legislative debates are going on. We dont need a sleeping or docile man to represent the vibrant Edo South People. He has not done marvelously well as far delivering of dividends of democracy is concern. To this end, we must jettison party nomenclature this time and vote for credible candidate that will carry everybody along, the person can be from People Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party or All Progressives Congress (APC) certainly not Osage and Adun. The person must be the messiah of the poor cum less privilege and the vulnerable in the society and also defender of the senior citizens in the constituency. We must enter into a Social Contract with that person that will intentionally benefit the electorate by ways of good roads, integrated rural and community development, investment in agriculture, giving of scholarship to indigent students, welfare package for the people, portable water supply etc. It is no longer business as usual, where a godfather will anoint a person from his sanctum sanctorum to represent the people. We are not going to vote for persons that change their phone numbers after winning elections or those that dont pick their calls or reply text messages after election. Edo South people say caboodle rejectamenta to sit tightism and legislative slumber.
