2015: Ibro’s Son Apologises To Constituency The member representing Ankpa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Mohammed Ibrahim Idris has apologised to his constituents for his inability to meet the myriad of demands arising from the three local government areas. Mohammed who is currently seeking a return to the House probably got feedback from his constituency comprising Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala LGAs that the people need more than he had offered. At the forum of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elders, leaders of thought, chiefs and the local folks, he apologised saying, “I am sorry for my inability to meet several demands in the course of my first tenure”. He however assured the people that he would write his name in gold if they give him a second chance. According to him, he had learnt enough lessons, adding that more than ever before; he is prepared to attract more dividends of democracy to his people. He pointed out that he is aware of the need for federal presence in his constituency, stating further that he would not only assist in the provision of physical infrastructure, but spearhead the need to make ‘stomach infrastructure’ an integral part of his development programme. He however listed his achievements to include; the empowerment of 23 youths, sinking of boreholes in the districts, building of a cottage hospital and the installation of solar light facilities in Okpo. He equally stated that he donated 500KV transformers to Ankpa, Ogugu and Okpo as well as embarked on the construction of Information and Technology Centre (ICT) at Ede in Ankpa and urged the people to use the achievements as platform to re-elect him. While the people agreed to support him, they warned on the consequences of reneging on his promises if he goes back to the lower legislative chamber. Present at the occasion were PDP stalwarts who include; retired Permanent Secretary, Chief Robert Audu, Chief Christopher Enenche, Chief Ali Ajuh (Commissioner for Budget and Planning), and a host of others.
