2015 NIGERIAS DATE WITH DESTINY As 2014 comes to a close one must begin to forecast what 2015 holds for the nation. Many will love to see the back of 2014. It has been a horrible year for ALL Nigerians. From the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the Nations cup to the endless campaign of bombs by Boko Haram, the only thing of joy is the fact that one is still alive. Power has been privatised yet few can boast of constant electricity. The railways are working once again which is a massive plus. East West Road and Calabar Itu Road still remain an eyesore. But the biggest threat to Nigeria is the 2015 General Elections. Many are nonplussed by the fictitious achievements of GEJ, which range from the non-existent Almarjiri schools to the failed promise to build the second Niger Bridge. Others wonder why he is yet to heed the cry to #BringBackOurGirls as the Chibok girls continue to wallow in captivity. After shunning the North East for a year GEJ is set to campaign in the most volatile part of the country that has felt his neglect the most. This will not go down well with the populace. 2015 is the infamous year that the CIA dossier predicted that Nigeria will break up. This is not entirely improbably. Nigeria has a date with destiny and a simple choice. GEJ vs GMB. I predict that GEJ will win a flawed elections riddled with glaring irregularities. This shall spark an unrest that will sweep his cabal from power in a peoples revolution. The likes of Tompolo and Asari will spend 2015 in jail as enemies of the state. GEJ and Mama Peace will flee into exile in their new private jet. Doyin Okupe will commit suicide by putting a gun to his head and blowing his brains out to escape the mob that will beseige his residence. Reuben Agbati will be found hanging from the ceiling fan of his bedroom. No foul play will be suspected. Diezani Allison and Okonjo-Iweala will be caught at the airport trying to flee with suitcases filled with dollars and will be driven to trial in a black maria to face charges of crimes against the state. FFK will be caught hiding under the bed of one of his numerous call girl lovers and will be paraded naked along the streets of Abuja. Labaran Maku will shave his moustache and dress up like a lady in hijab to escape the Republican forces only to be caught at the Cameroon Nigerian border in the boot of a taxi. Moro will be arrested while trying to scale his fence in a bid to escape justice which he will face as he will be finally made to account for the thousands of Nigerians he swindled and scores he led to death in his fake job interview. Hundreds of other corrupt accolytes will be scampering for their private jets to flee the approaching bedlam. But alas most will be caught and will face French Revolution style justice at the guillotine. But alas this is Nigeria where the revolutionary spirit is far from most. Most likely GEJ will win via rigging and we will all accept it as Gods will and will return to our huddle to reminisce on what could have been. 4 more years of misrule will fracture Nigeria beyond recognition. Only a free and fair election devoid of rigging will ensure that there will be peace no matter who wins. No one wants war or violence but when a naive path of passive inactivity of GEJ has led Nigeria to the brink of the abyss one must have a rethink. Peace is good but injustice will only lead to violence if allowed to fester. 2015 is Nigerias date with destiny. A free and fair election along with a peaceful aftermath or a rigged and manipulated election to be followed by a violent aftermath and possible dismemberment of the country are the only two options.
