2015 New Year Message/Promise: Be Full & Overflow! *************************************************************** Romans 15:13. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13. I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. We have so much encouragement in this Scripture verse, so many spiritual principles and qualities packed in one verse! 1. Hope: We have a God of Hope. These days, we need so much hope really as we see so much tragedy all around us; days are filled with hopelessness and helplessness. The promise is that we will abound and overflow with His Hope in the new year. (Rom 5:1-5) 2. Filling: So many Christians seem to be like empty vessels making much noise without any substance! We need to be filled with all divine qualities and fullness of His Being. So that we may have overflowing joy, peace and the fullness of His Spirit. (Rom 5:5) 3. Joy: It is hard to be joyful when you see so much suffering in your own life and how others are suffering untold miseries. The Lord promised us His joy that makes our joy complete (full) (John 15:11; Romans 14:17). 4. Peace: These are difficult days when we see so much pain and pressure in our own lives and in the world. Peace is so costly that many live are being lost to gain it. Lord Jesus paid with His own Precious Blood to achieve peace for us- with God and within ourselves and with others. Lord Jesus promised His peace in the midst of storms of life (John 14:27). 5. Power of the Holy Spirit: We can never achieve anything in life nor even live for Christ without the power of the Holy Spirit. He has come to empower us to live and serve the Lord and His people. Let us continually and constantly depend upon the power of the Holy Spirit for without Him we can do nothing! (Zech 4:6; Eph 5:18,19). I pray that the New Year 2015 bring all the above and much more so that you may overflow, in the Mighty Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. 2 Thess. 2:16-17. Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
