2015 PRESIDENT: I HAVE MADE UP MY MIND. I have followed with - TopicsExpress

2015 PRESIDENT: I HAVE MADE UP MY MIND. I have followed with very keen interest developments in the political arena as they unfold in the polity. I have read the manifestors of most of the political parties in Nigeria and the issues on which they are canvassing for our votes. I have made a careful observation on the kind and character of the key members of the various political parties and the candidates they put forward for the 2015 elections. After a very careful analysis, I am convinced that the manifestors of almost all the political parties virtually contain similar policies and programs. i have not seen any of them that did not promise transformation on education, economy, health, infrastructural and industrial development, Agriculture., water, foreign policy and other social amenities. So, to me the issues are similar and common in all the parties. I examined the personalities and leadership of all the political parties and i found out that a great majority of them have never been consistent in any political party. They have all changed from one party to the other. Some have changed up to three parties in quick sucsessions. Some have defected and returned. Some are even considering further defection before the elections. In fairness to jonathan, he stands out in this regard. He has never changed from PDP since he joined politics. I have also discovered especially in the two frontline parties - the APC and PDP that there are good, patriotic and clean leaders in both just like there are crooks and corrupt people in the leadership of the APC and the PDP. So, to me there is no much difference between the parties. Whatevet you will accuse one party for, you find the same if not worse in the others. None of the parties is promising me any thing new. The same issues have been canvassed by sucssessive political parties in Nigeria since Independence. So, to me the election in 2015 is not about the parties. They are all birds of the same feather. It is also not about promises. They all promise us the same thing in different languages. Then, what is it about? It is more about the candidates. Whom can we trust to deliver on the common promises all of them have made and are making to us? Who among the candidates have the interest of the masses at heart and will serve them as a servant not a master? who is less proned to corruption and graft? Who has a strong independence of mind and action? Who will not be caged by a cabal? Who will not steal our national wealth or allow others around him to steal? Who will enthrone the rule of law and fight impunity? Who will reform our economy and restore the value of our currency? Who will take our economy out of the duldrum and inspire hope? Who will improve our education, health and power sectors? Who will reform our petroleum industry and also promote non- oil revenue? Who will project our image positively among the international community? who among them will keep his promises to the people and will not speak with two sides of the mouth or say one thing in the morning and a different thing at night of the same day? who will treat all Nigerians equally and justly irrespective of tribe, religion or zone they are from? and who can forster peace and peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities that make up the nation? I have deeply pondered on these questions and have come to the irresistible condition that GMB is the right man with the qualities and character to achieve all these and even more. I am not a member of the APC but GMB has attracted my vote through his sterling qualities and I am giving it to him.
