2015 Super Break Series I Baseball Box Break Review The Breakdown 1 Pack per box 1-3 cards per pack The Hits Ichiro Suzuki autographed trading card The Review Continuing their line of repackaged baseball releases, Super Break has released Series I. Featuring one to three cards per box, collectors have the chance for some high-end hits such as Sandy Koufax rookie cards or Mike Trout autos. Appealing to the high-end chaser and group breakers especially, Super Break has put such a wide variety of cards into their products that it’s truly one big surprise after another when opening the boxes. We didn’t pull a Koufax or Trout, but we did come away pretty lucky with our box as we pulled an Ichiro Suzuki autograph. It wasn’t a certified autograph from one of the major companies, but it did come encapsulated with PSA/DNA authentication and even better, it had the Ichiro certification sticker on the back of the card within the encapsulation. We’ve seen these pop up before in Super Break’s products, but it’s a good pull nonetheless as it’s not many products that offer up Ichiro autographs anymore. Any way you hack it, it’s a pretty nice card to see when opening a pack. Not much else to report here as it was the only card in the box we received from Super Break. Boxes are roughly around the $210 mark online, which might be a little steep for some collectors for only a few cards. As we alluded to earlier though, these boxes provide better odds at pulling a premium hit than most other products in that price range, so it may be worth it for collectors to take a gamble on it. Repackaged products have generated some interesting debate in the hobby, but with the continued success of products like Super Break, they don’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. In such a hit-driven hobby world, it’s not hard to understand why. We’ve seen everything from a star premium Mike Trout autographs to game-used David Ortiz jerseys pulled in these types of products, and that’s kind of the heart of the matter. Even with the high cost, repackaged products continue to draw collectors and card gamblers alike because they can offer something that companies like Topps, Panini and Upper Deck typically just don’t at the moment. As great as some of the cards coming from those products are, the chance at something new and different is a powerful pull for people opening product now. Whether you choose to invest in or not is entirely your choice, and we’d recommend for you to look at box breaks online for some of these products to get a better idea of what comes out of them, especially if you’re new to Super Break. From everything we’ve seen so far though, even if you don’t necessarily get your money back, chances are fairly good you’ll pull a nice card in your box.
